Pixie Example starterkit

pixie_example is the included starterkit subtheme. It provides replaceable starter assets, a site recipe, and an editable sample landing page while preserving the boundary between Pixie Dark presentation and Drupal-managed content.

Copy the starterkit into a custom theme directory, enable it beside Pixie Dark, and apply the included recipe to create the sample front page:

drush recipe web/themes/custom/pixie_example/recipe
drush locale:import ja web/themes/custom/pixie_example/translations/pixie_example.ja.po --type=customized --override=all
drush cache:rebuild

The recipe includes English and Japanese Pixie Example page content and sets it as the front page on a fresh installation. The interface translation import supplies Japanese hero, navigation, and account-page text. The page body is an ordinary Drupal node and remains fully editable in both languages. English is served at / and Japanese at /ja. Back up existing content and review the current front-page setting before applying the recipe to an existing site. Do not reapply it to a site that already has the sample node; translate that node and import the .po file instead. Replace the artwork, copy, and links before publishing a site.

Disposable Docker demo

The Pixie Example image starts with the sample content already seeded:

docker run --rm --name pixie-example -p 8080:80 pixieworks/pixie_dark_example:latest

Open http://localhost:8080/ and run docker logs pixie-example to read the generated administrator password. The container has no persistent volume, so removing it resets the demo. A published image reflects the recipe version used at build time; check /ja before assuming that a pulled image contains the bilingual content in this source checkout. It is intended for short-lived previews.

The complete setup instructions, including manual content and Docker demo options, are in the Pixie Example starterkit README.
